MORE ABOUT ME
The primary instructor, Jeff, is a professional blackjack card counter based in Las Vegas. The services offered on this website are a result of Jeff’s blackjack career winding down. He has been backed off (kicked off the blackjack table) at over 200 casinos. After three years as a full-time professional, it's become harder for him to find opportunities to play. Additionally, Jeff has a passion for teaching blackjack.
One of his motivations for offering these services is his growing distaste for casinos and their greed. Jeff believes that by teaching more people how to beat the casinos, he’s helping to level the playing field and, in his view, making the world a better place. Be sure to ask him about some of the stories he's collected throughout his career, showcasing the poor behavior of casinos. If most casino guests knew what Jeff has experienced, they might share his dislike for the way casinos operate.
Jeff learned to count cards after being recruited by a large blackjack team. The team invested over 60 hours of in-person group training to equip Jeff with the skills needed to play high-stakes blackjack using investor money. Now, Jeff wants to share this high-quality training with as many people as possible, allowing him to earn a living while pursuing his passion.
An interesting fact about Jeff's journey is that he was actually one of the slowest learners in his training group. This has made him a better teacher, as he had to experiment with many different methods to manage the count and handle all the mental multitasking required at the table. Learning a skill from someone who had to struggle through the learning process can often be more effective than learning from someone naturally gifted, as they can better articulate the challenges and solutions. After thousands of hours of play, Jeff recently tested his skills and surpassed his former instructors.
While playing blackjack was thrilling for the first 1,000 hours or so, Jeff now enjoys running simulations, evaluating strategies, and balancing bankrolls and risks even more. He’s truly a “nerd” when it comes to analyzing the theoretical and mathematical aspects of the game. Many professionals believe Jeff has spent more time with simulation software than most other card counters. This makes him a valuable resource for questions about playing strategies, bankroll management, and how certain changes can impact a card counter’s hourly income.
Though Jeff has team experience, most of his career has been spent playing solo. His team played only about once a month, but Jeff wanted to play more often and earn more money.
Jeff has played all over the United States, though he has not yet traveled internationally to gamble. After getting backed off from Las Vegas casinos too frequently during his first year, he bought a Mercedes Sprinter cargo van and converted it into a luxurious camper. He then traveled the country, sleeping in casino parking lots and showering at Planet Fitness while grinding out his income. That lifestyle got old after about a year, and now he's happy to be back home in Las Vegas, ready to teach others how to beat the casinos.
